Assingment #1
What is media?
Media means different types of communication. For example, television, radio, newspaper, magazines and the internet are all forms of media.
What's your favorite form of media?
My favorite form of media is magazines. I love magazines because i love fashion, it is very interesting. I find magazines have the best style tips and the newest fashions. I also like to follow celebrity lifestyles but I do not look up to any!
What medium do you use the most?
The internet is what i use the most. There is everything you can possibly imagine on the internet. You can communicate, research, or pretty much anything else. It is a very useful and convenient form of media.
Where does media make itself visible in your life?
I believe in newspapers because lots of people read the newspaper and it has lots of advertisements, information etc. You can find newspapers almost everywhere, on buses, metros, restoraunts, and depaneurs.
What is the impact of media on our society?
Media has a very big impact on our society because lots of people are easily influenced by the media. It can make people do anything and make they believe anything. Most people depend on what they see. When they know the new big new thing is coming out everyone buys it because they become convinced that it is the best !

Integrated Project
For my integrated project my plan is to make a slide show advertisement. I would be a promoter and the slide show will be about a few logos from the projects that my classmates are doing.

Class Questions/Ideas #1
When you read about a certain article when can you believe that it is true? When I read about an article i find it much easier to believe when the story is clear and precis. If the story is detailed but not over exaggerated then I would approve and assume that what was written was truth.
When a person comes to you and tells you a story, can you trust them? I believe that if the person telling the story is reliable and trustworthy then yes! I would probably believe the story I am being told. I do still strongly believe that the information given to me should sound right to me, along with detail as well. Also if the person were to have a source then the story can be more reliable. If they say "Oh I herd from a friend, who thinks..." then find out if there is accurate information to back up the story.
A great way to find out if a story, article, ad, campaign etc. is to do some research! The web, books, encyclopedias are also great ways to gather up more information on the story. If you find a good amount of information that you think you can base yourself on then that is great if not and you were finding different answers, the story was changed, or no information at all then you should clearly know that you were not told the complete truth.
You should always find sources to make sure that the media is true, because you can never be to sure !

are the only types or people that are followed by the paparazzi. Also that it seems like these girls love being the center on attention and just might think that they are better then everyone else. In reality you cannot stereotype every wealthy person to have this attitude!

1. How do we build information?
We build information by researching on the internet, reading magazines or the newspaper, watching the news and basically with our 5 senses.
2. When does that info become truth?
Not everything you find out from the media can be truth you have to decide for yourself what you want to believe and what not to. Its up to you to find out the truth in what you have herd.
3. Is there an issue of trust with source?
You cannot always count on the media to be truth because people interpret different meanings and if they reexplain the story they could have misinterpreted the story and you will not know the proper information. Also if you have been hear or reading about a certain story in the media and the story is not changing then you can believe what you are being told.
4. When do you trust them?
If you know the person for example and you trust me and know they are truthful then surly you can count on them to be telling you the truth.
